About

Hi, I’m Sue. I grew up in Malaysia and came to Australia to further my tertiary education which I then completed my Bachelor degree in Speech Pathology at Curtin University. I am fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and speak basic Bahasa Melayu.

I enjoy all aspects of speech pathology and am particularly drawn to early intervention, speech sounds, language, literacy, fluency, and social skills. I am trained in a number of programs including the Lidcombe Program, Sounds Write, Key Word Sign, and Learn to Play. I have experience working with children with a variety of neurotypes and disabilities such as Autism, Global Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy.

I am passionate about working with families from culturally and linguistically diverse background. I started Bilingo Speech because I realised how little support there is for bilingual parents. I want to help bilingual parents to feel confident in supporting their bilingual child’s speech and language acquisition. I want bilingual parents to feel empowered by receiving professional advice in their mother tongue.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy dining out and catching up with my friends.
