Many Private Health Insurance packages provide ‘extras’ cover which may entitle you to claim rebates for Speech pathology sessions. Each provider and level of cover is different and we suggest contacting your provider to ensure your child is covered and how much the fund will rebate.
You will see these codes if you are covered:
- 320 is the item number for a Speech Pathology Assessment.
- 340 is the item number for a Speech Pathology Treatment.
Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM)

This is a GP managed plan that provides a Medicare rebate for allied health services. If you or your child present a condition with a minimum of six months, requiring speech services, you may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM). A maximum of 5 total rebates per calendar year for all allied health services.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The NDIS is a Federal Government funding scheme to assist individuals aged 65-years and under diagnosed with a disability or chronic health conditions. Bilingo Speech accepts self-funded and plan managed NDIS clients. We cannot take on NDIA managed participants. If you would like to change how you are funded, please contact your Local Area Coordinator.
